Calling all bakers, chefs & friends, 

We're mobilizing this global baking community again, this time for mutual aid, community care, and to stand against the fear tactics harming our immigrant neighbors across America. 

This is a coordinated month of free pastry (and food) distributions led by Bakers and chefs in their own communities as an act of mutual aid. 

This moment may be unfolding in Minneapolis, but the fight for immigrant dignity stretches from  Minnesota to Texas, and across our whole nation. We’re uplifting and amplifying Raices to support their legal defense work, while activating mutual aid locally. 

This is not a bake sale, this is a coordinated act of community care. No pre-orders or donations required. 

The ask for volunteers:

•choose 1 bake or item to donate for mutual care

•set a portion goal

•choose a clear 1-3 hour distribution window 

•post your time + location clearly

•label allergens 

•share verified RAICES donation links & QR code

•Fill out participation form to be mapped with others in your local area. 

This activation is free to the public. If guests are moved to give, we encourage direct donations to RAICES or trusted local organizations and food banks. No funds pass through BAR. 

From NOW until MARCH 31, BAR will activate across cities in steadfast acts of care. 

Mutual aid is simple: share what you have. Keep each other safe. Show up consistently.

When launching your activation please tag us @bakersagainstracism, tag your cities and use #BAR2026 to help amplify this activation. 

When setting up your activations:

• Display a simple printed “Mutual Aid” sign at your table

•display QR codes for guests who what to support our mutual aid coordination by supporting Raices in Texas.
